We just spent 3 days with our children and grandchildren who live in Brooklyn, the original epicenter of the pandemic in the U.S. The infection rate has been contained there, so things are safer. And we have an extremely low rate here.

So we decided it was okay now to be together in person. We were a little careful at first to turn our heads when hugging, etc., but by today I was eating turkey that Anna handed me from her highchair, and kissing Louie 5 or 6 times before they said goodbye. COVID be damned.
